Madison Levine
Hi! I am a Ph.D. candidate in Agricultural & Applied Economics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
I am an applied microeconomist specializing in behavioral and development economics. My research focuses on decision-making under risk and uncertainty, with a particular interest in agricultural investment. My job market paper combines structural modeling with a lab-in-the-field experiment. I study how risk preferences shape demand for risk management tools and the relationship between contract adoption and investment. Other research examines insurance contract design and government demand for disaster risk financing instruments.
I am on the 2026–2027 academic job market.
